The Thornes were an early settler pioneering family in the Squamish Valley. They were known agriculturalists who were involved in several local initiatives, including the Squamish Valley Hops Raising Company. The Thornes also played a role in the development of the Pemberton trail.

The 1950-1951 Squamish High annual yearbook edited by Glenn Valde. This issue is dedicated to the Squamish & Britannia Beach Parent-Teacher Association. Squamish High School is the name of Howe Sound Secondary School before the school had a dedicated building. The books include anecdotes of and references to prominent figures, important events, and life in early Squamish.
This particular copy belonged to Del Tatlow, daughter of Clarence and Rose Tatlow. It is in black and white and is 8.5 x 11” inches.
