History
Harold was born in Ashford, Kent, England in 1889 or 1890. He came to Canada in 1912 and worked at the CNR shops in Winnipeg until 1920. From 1920 to 1928, he worked at the CNR shops in New Westminster. In 1928, he came to Squamish to work for PGE. In 1930, he worked for PGE as chief mechanic.
He died at age 81 on July 7, 1971.

Harold was a member of the School Board when ti expanded to become School District #48. In 1952, he promoted acquisition of a hospital. He was vice president of the original Hospital Board (life member).
He was made an honorary member of the Board of Trade, a member of the Anglican Church Board, and Chairman of the Centennial Entertainment Committee.
Harold was the Regional Supervisor of Aircraft Spotters for the Ground Observer Corps. He recorded wind and rain to prepare monthly reports. He was also a member of the first Credit Union Board. He later become President of the Squamish and Hower Sound Chamber of Commerce.
In 1956, Harold received the Good Citizenship Award.
In 1963, he was the Vicars Wwarden at St. John's Anglican Church.
From 1966 to 1970, he was Chairman of the Howe Sound School Board. He promoted the Howe Sound Student Loans Association.
